Today's Face of Pioneer is Andrew Smollen, a junior from Lucas High School in the Home Remodeling program at Pioneer.
At Lucas, Andrew plays football, basketball and baseball. He is also in National Honor Society. At Mt. Zion Lutheran Church he is involved in Youth Group.
Pioneer has offered Andrew the opportunity to learn a new trade while he finishes his high school education. He has especially enjoyed making new friends from other schools.

Today's Face of Pioneer is Zavier Alterio, a senior in Performing Arts from Lexington High School. He is President of National Technical Honors Society at Pioneer, in Lexington’s Key Club, Una Voce and theatrical productions at BGSU Firelands, Spotlight Squad and Renaissance Theatre. He has been a volunteer at the Renaissance Theatre Broadway Camp and at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in their Social Skills program. Going to school to study something he is passionate about and that he wants to pursue in the future has made Zavier’s time at Pioneer more than valuable! He is pictured with Pioneer's Performing Arts Instructor, Anne Kurtzman.
