With every Pioneer tradition, there is a meaningful experience. Students began the day with our annual Christmas Caroling, along with Santa and candy canes for a little holiday spirit fun. We also welcomed our recent graduates for breakfast treats & visits to their lab. It was great to see all the familiar faces home for the holidays. We hope you all have had a great day with your lab parties and a wonderful winter break.

The Shelby YMCA Senior Brunch visit is always a pleasure! This month's event started with a little holiday fun in Horticulture, followed by a delicious Culinary Arts experience. We value your partnership & support, in the community and in career tech education. Thank you to Holy Christmas Tree Farm of Lexington for the kind donation of the supplies. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Again, Pioneer did NOT receive this email and SCHOOL ACTIVITIES WILL PROCEED TOMORROW AS NORMAL.  This email appears to mimic the mass email threat that was sent to schools in Central Texas on December 8, 2023, that was ruled a hoax by the FBI.  Nevertheless, school safety remains a top priority for Pioneer and we will continue working with law enforcement to monitor the situation and will make any necessary decisions based on information received from them.  In the meantime, the Richland County Sherrif’s office has assured us that they are currently conducting additional precautionary security measures and extra patrols to insure the safety of our students, staff and families.

Good Evening, Today at 1:39 p.m., a large number of school districts in Richland County and elsewhere throughout Ohio, received a threatening mass email with a bomb threat from an unidentified source claiming to be a Russian terrorist organization.  PIONEER DID NOT RECEIVE THIS EMAIL. IN the email, the sender claimed their partners from the terrorist organization had planted explosives in American school buildings set to detonate at 2:00 p.m. in retaliation for support given to Ukraine.  The district immediately alerted the Richland County Sherriff’s Office who is working with the FBI to investigate the origin of the email.   

Culinary Arts Level 1 students went on a field trip to Grandpa's Cheesebarn to learn more about options in the food industry. Thank you for your hospitality, what a great experience! Students also enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with Ashland Mayor Matt Miller. #PioneerCTC #FieldTrip
